WILLING SPIRIT: Over 500 volunteers completed work on the quickly built Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in four days.

Hundreds of Jehovah’s Witnesses from as far south as Gisborne congregated in Kaikohe last weekend to ‘quick build’ a new Kingdom Hall.
The 100-seater brick structure, completed by Sunday afternoon, was built over four days by volunteers.
More than 500 showed up to lend a hand, with the oldest volunteer being 79-years-old.
The new Kingdom Hall on Guys Rd held its first service on Sunday night.
“With parking at a premium and slow traffic flow, we’re all very grateful for the patience of Kaikohe residents,” says building co-ordinator Jamie Haynes.
