Jehovah Witnesses Begin Convention

Jehovah Witnesses through the country are expected to commence their District Convention from November 30 to December 2, 2007 at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville outside Monrovia.

Accordingly, the public is invited to attend all sessions of the entire program. The morning session begins at 9:20 a.m. each day.

According to a statement issued in Monrovia, on Friday and Saturday, the afternoon sessions will begin at 1:50 p.m. and on Sunday, the afternoon session starts at 1:30 p.m.

Presented by the Christian Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses, approximately 16,000 delegates from Buchanan, Harbel, Kakata, Tubmanburg, Robertsport, Bopolu and other areas would be in attendance at this year’s convention.

Across the country, the program would be held in English and there would be a special section for American Sign Language for the deaf.

The statement noted that the total projected attendance for Liberia is nearly 22,000 and that all convention sessions are open to the public free of charge.
