Two more arrests in Eritrea
Late October saw two more of Jehovah’s Witnesses arrested in Eritrea. A total of 40 are now in some form of detention there, as the deterioration of human rights continues unabated.

Two more arrests in Eritrea

Late October saw two more of Jehovah’s Witnesses arrested in Eritrea. Beyene Abraham, a 57-year-old member of the Taba Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, was arrested on Thursday morning, October 23, 2008. Two days later, 76-year-old Kahsai Mekonnen, from the Sinkey Congregation, was arrested.

Presently a total of 40 Jehovah’s Witnesses are in some form of detention in Eritrea, as the deterioration of human rights continues unabated.
